Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla y León

Frutos Villar

The VTCyL label is a Protected Geographical Indication which designates the wines ellaborated with grapes from the municipalities of Castilla y León. The natural conditions in this region, its climate and soils, as well as the human intervention that for centuries has applied the best techniques to obtain a high quality product, have allowed Castilla y León to become one of the most celebrated wine regions in Spain. The white wines produced under this label are fresh and fruity, with great presence in the mouth, mainly due to the qualities provided by the most representative varieties of Castilla y León, such as Verdejo, Godello, or Prieto Picudo.

Don Frutos

VERDEJO

This is a young white wine ellaborated with the grape variety Verdejo. The grapes are harvested at night in mid-September. After pressing, alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature (14-16ºC), remaining on its fine lees until clarification. Subsequently, the wine remains in the bottle for a minimum of 2 months before being released onto the market.

Blanco Polar

Verdejo
This is a young white wine made solely from Verdejo grapes. Its production process begins with a maceration period of 36 hours, after which the fermentation takes place without skins in stainless steel tanks at 15ºC.
The result is a wine with a bright straw yellow colour, with the characteristic fruity aromas of the Verdejo variety and a balanced flavour with a hint of aniseed. On the palate, this wine is unctuous and powerful, with an acid touch that lengthens its persistence and a particular bitter aftertaste.
It is an ideal wine to accompany fish and seafood dishes.
